A Libertarian in Leftywood

First, climate change research is not banned. There is no truth to this outrageous claim whatsoever. In fact, what this bill does is simply not create a new (additional!) climate wing in NOAA. Instead, it includes over $100 $400 Million in climate research funding - which is in addition to existing climate funding spread out over various other departments. And even if somehow funding was cut from research, then it would still not be banned - it would mean that researchers would simply have to find voluntary sources of funding. But don’t worry, there will be no shortage of unthinking lemmings who believe your convenient untruth.

So in no way whatsoever has climate research been banned. None.

In case your integrity is taken into consideration in the work and writings that you mention in your header, you may want to fix that bit in your sensationalist headline.

And to the point on “cuts,” we’re talking $3.1 Billion in cuts from Commerce, Justice, and Science agencies. Of only these agencies, it’s a SIX PERCENT cut of some of the lowest hanging fruit in government during a recession when unemployment has been above 9% for over two years. Of the approximately $4 Trillion dollar budget, it’s LESS THAN ONE PERCENT.

How unbuckled from reality do you have to be for this to constitute what your tags call “bullshit,” “stupid,” and “cognitive dissonance”? I’m surprised you didn’t call it draconian.
